Alloy series technical description

The Alloy series is an ever-expanding range of shapes.

Its structure carries the character of written texts and musical transcriptions, moving them out of the plane to create fluidly changing spatial shapes.

The starting point was the creation of a variable formal system that, using the foundations of a given technical framework, allows the creation of an infinite number of spatial compositions with sculptural ambitions.

The spatial system was created using the classical sculptural foundations as a starting point, but combining them with the possibilities, techniques and materials of the present day.

The aim was to rethink the traditional sculptural creation processes. These processes require a fundamentally slow, highly technical infrastructure, in many cases dominated by fast, dynamic creative mechanisms that do not allow for radical recomposition, unlike other creative media. These articulations of painting, music, or even literature, carry with them considerably more dynamic, freer possibilities for composition and creation. One of the main demands in the design of the modular system was to express this usually dynamic characteristic in a sculptural language.
